The MKCREATIVE team has begun work on a “refreshed” website for Neighborhood Housing Services of East Flatbush (NHSEF).
NHSEF revitalizes underserved neighborhoods by creating and preserving affordable housing and providing opportunities for homeownership education, financial assistance and community leadership. Working in partnership with government and business, NHSEF are led by local residents and guided by local needs.
NHSEF accomplishes its mission through rehabilitation of housing; education that builds the capacity of people to help themselves; development of grass-roots leadership that promotes self-sufficiency of neighborhoods; creation of neighborhood revitalization projects that are specially designed for a community’s needs; and development of new programs that meet the changing needs of low- and moderate-income residents in East Flatbush.
Marco Kathuria (Creative Director), Christopher Gardner (Production Artist), Eleni Swengler (Senior Designer), and Carlos Rojas (Web Developer) are on the MKCREATIVE project team.
Basecamp, a project management and job-tracking solution, is being used for this and other projects currently in-place.
Much of the client’s existing website content will be stripped out and re-integrated into a content management system optimized for multi-site use. Our team will be incorporating slide shows, video feeds, an event/calendar, a homes for sale listings capability, as well as enhanced functionalities and social networking capabilities into the new site.
The site is expected to launch in late-2009.
