Rob Wu is co-founder of Causevox, an online crowdfunding and donor-acquisition platform. He and his team built their own crowdfunding platform to raise funds for their volunteer projects — they then launched CauseVox for all nonprofits and individuals to use. Since launching a few years ago, Causevox have helped tens-of-thousands of people fundraise online, serving thousands of nonprofits every year.
Rob and his team have been working hard over the last number of months moving the online system to the latest iteration. We had the pleasure of talking with Rob a while back, when Causevox first went live. The focus then was to create a ‘turn key’ website/social-media hub for nonprofits, which allowed them to customize the look and feel of the site to fit their ‘brand’ while also enjoying some advanced features like bulk emailing and email subscription captures.
The success of the platform has been phenomenal, as charities working from Africa and to the southwestern US have gotten connected with Causevox and have raised many tens of thousands of dollars over the last year. But the New-York based staff has not been sitting on its laurels. Let’s hear what Rob has to say in this first interview.
Version two contains more tools for donor and cash-flow management, and those tools came from the ongoing collaboration that the team strives to build with the organizations that use the platform. But Causevox also offers guidance and support for those nonprofits who seeks them. In particular, Causevox has put a good deal of effort in helping organizations tell engaging stories. The Causevox platform could be the ideal means to get that story out and to bring donors and volunteers back into your organization. Be sure to join us for the second part of our interview next week − and check out Causevox in the mean time.
